Kathmandu Kora 2025: My First 100K Century Ride
Kathmandu, Nepal · July 2025 · 100km charity challenge
A personal, stage-by-stage log of completing the 100km challenge during the Kathmandu Kora 2025. Carb loading, mountain mud, endless valley climbs, and the finisher certificate.
Shreyam Adhikari
Kathmandu Kora 2025 was my first proper 100K century ride: a full loop around the Kathmandu Valley with early Patan energy, green climbs, dirt tracks, rain, mud, and the slow mental math of endurance.
The night before was about carb-loading and discipline. The first 30 km felt clean and fast, but the valley rim quickly turned the ride into a pacing problem: climb gently, save the legs, keep the heart rate honest.
By km 65 the rain had turned dirt into clay mud. The final stretch back toward Patan was less about speed and more about continuing one pedal stroke at a time until the finisher certificate made the whole thing real.
