Three deep tools. One way of building.

ProtoPeek, dbterm, and Quillpane are the flagship tools. Stable releases, current source, next milestones, and later gated work are kept separate; milestones are gates, not date promises.

ProtoPeek

A local systems workbench that keeps protocol-native evidence, network paths, transfers, and guarded publishing operations close together.

  1. Stable · v0.6.1 — One local workbench. Home, Inspect, Network, Publish, Files and Settings bring protocol requests, network evidence and persistent downloads together.
  2. Nightly · v0.0.0-nightly — Workspace, agents and easy updates. Persistent grouped navigation, shared layouts, local MCP/CLI agents and verified CLI/UI updates are available in the opt-in Nightly prerelease. Stable promotion is separate.
  3. Next · v0.7 — Connected workbench. Extend existing typed targets and draft handoffs into clearer recent-session journeys and bounded activity receipts.
  4. Later · v0.8–1.0 — Private access, publishing, then stability. Extend the shipped Tailscale foundation, add audience-aware service publishing, then earn the v1.0 migration gates.

Stable remains v0.6.1. The 8 September Nightly update adds source-aware channel checks and verified self-updates: 783 UI tests plus updater archive, cancellation and rollback tests. Native live capture and Nmap execution remain unverified. Full roadmap.

dbterm

A keyboard-first database workbench that grew into navigation, change evidence, local agent access, and verified backup operations.

  1. Stable · v0.11.1 — Verified copies and application bundles. The Ganga release adds guarded file bundles, local and SFTP push/pull copies, multi-time schedules, managed volumes, and recovery inspection.
  2. Current source · package lanes — Reconcile distribution. Homebrew and Scoop trail the public release, signed APT is verified, and the WinGet submission remains pending review.
  3. Next · next release gate — Prove recovery paths in the wild. Finish cross-platform artifact, service-account, SFTP, removable-volume, and restore-drill evidence before widening the system.
  4. Later · deferred — Depth only where recovery evidence earns it. Incremental chains, native logs, copy resume, richer alerts, and durable restore-drill history remain explicit deferred work.

Public v0.11.1 release and current source checked 12 September 2026; package lanes still need reconciliation. Full roadmap.

Quillpane

A tiny native Markdown notepad that starts with plain files and adds depth without turning the folder into a proprietary vault.

  1. Stable · v0.14.2 — A place for notes and tasks. Write and read local Markdown with split preview, recovery drafts and bounded history. Optional task files add List, Board and Calendar views, workflow categories, tags, dates and search.
  2. Current source · Quillpane live — Quillpane compatibility release. The current release has cross-platform artifacts; the Quillpane display name is live while package identities remain compatible.
  3. Next · Next — Infinite canvas board. Next: an optional open canvas for arranging ideas and local note references. Pan, zoom and save a portable board file. Planned, not included in v0.14.2.
  4. Later · Next · Explore — Plain-file workflows, carefully. Focus mode, closer source/preview alignment and daily notes remain candidates. A pinned reference note stays an experiment until geometry, keyboard, restore and memory gates pass.

Release v0.14.2 and publication checklist checked 14 September 2026. Quillpane is the public display name; Markpad identifiers remain compatibility anchors and the logo is intentionally unchanged. Full roadmap.

The public v0.11.1 Ganga release retains verified backup/copy workflows and adds Microsoft Store lifecycle guards. Other platforms use installed aria2; Headscale and NetBird remain planned. The opt-in Nightly adds a redesigned workspace, local MCP/CLI agents and verified CLI/UI updates. Main/master pushes refresh one rolling prerelease; stable and package versions are promoted separately. The Windows Microsoft Store submission is in certification; publication awaits Microsoft approval.

Status: v0.6.1 stable · local protocol and network workbench. Technology: Go, React, TypeScript, REST, HTTP, gRPC, TCP, network diagnostics, aria2 (bundled Windows x64). Source.
